Denver Colorado Day 3 (Last Day)
Bodies aching and exhaustion taking its effects, day 3 had a later start…. at least for everyone else but me. This was supposed to be a sleep in day but my body was really wanting to stick to that normal wake up time and being an hour behind was making it hard to sleep past 6:30 AM. Got up with sun and without waking the others slipped out the front door and took a stroll around the neighborhood. Soaking in as much of the sun and heat I could before returning home.
Didn’t quite get out an about until closer to lunch and had to snag a favorite of mine every time I come near one, In-N-Out! I didn’t snap a picture cause I was to damn excited to dig in. I had a Double-Double animal style and fries animal style. You gotta get the fries animal style! This is a must. You get the normal fries with a melted slice of cheese, grilled onions, and burger sauce. Simply divine.
I missed out on the Loons home opener, but I did get to enjoy some soccer. Ben has season tickets for the Colorado Rapids and was able to grab some bleacher seats for a steal of price. The bleacher section is similar to the Wonder Wall at Allianz Field, but seated with back rests. Got to enjoy the drums and chanting up close! Portland didn’t put up much of a fight with the game ending 2-Nil and Colorado holding a majority of the possession time. Note for anyone that doesn’t follow soccer, the Rapids play in the same league as the Minnesota Loons. Don’t tell @jthingelstad or @tthing but there might be a picture of me floating around with a borrowed Rapids scarf and flag 😅.
After the game we went and enjoyed some time out on the ice at Big Bear Ice Arena. One of the boys that flew in to join us is from Canada and I wanted to get some ice time with him to show me some moves! I don’t think I picked up much though…
Trevor and Quinn face off with Chris ready to drop the puck!

Finished the day out with some Korean BBQ and Voodoo Donuts for dessert. I had a donut called the “Old Dirty Bastard”. It was like chocolate, crushed Oreos, and drizzled peanut butter on top.
I had such good time while visiting. Really stumbled upon a great group of people and each time I see them it’s more fun than the last. Thanks for making the flight down from Canada, Trevor. Chris, if it weren’t for you being a gracious host, I don’t think these trips would be possible! Luke, Kat, Evan, Austin, Ben, Carrie, Charlie, and Song, I’m really glad I got to see all of you. Till next time y’all!
